Tourism Australia have announced that the Northern Territories Outback Wrangler, Matt Wright has been made a friend of Australia.
The list, which identifies leaders passionate about Australia and includes sports stars, celbrity chefs, environmentalist and entrepreneurs.
He joins some pretty famous company alongside, Glenn McGrath, film director Baz Luhrmann, journalist George Negus, and trainer Michelle Bridges.
In an interview with NT News – Mr Wright stated “I love everything about Australia — our people, our beaches, and our unique landscapes so to represent something I’m so passionate about is the ultimate,”
Mr Wright also added Australia’s diversity was an important part of its identity.
“The diversity is also such an epic thing — you can have a nice bite to eat in Melbourne, go for a surf in Margaret River, go trekking in Tasmania and check out the waterfalls in the Territory. Our country has so much to offer.”
